About Bishop CJ Andre

Bishop CJ Andre’s visionary leadership to be “Repairers of the Breach” encapsulates who we are as a faith community, a Church For All Colors. A deep sense of mission rooted in Isaiah 58:12 can communicate clearly what he is all about, who our church is, and where Detroit World Outreach is headed. Bishop affectionately refers to us as Team 5812 and often uses the hashtag #Team5812 in social media postings. Our heartbeat is to function as the book of Acts church.

Bishop Andre has been serving in the Gospel ministry since 2002 in the metro Detroit region. Several of those years have been in the inner city. He married the love of his life, Pastor Danielle Andre on May 3rd, 2003. Together they have been a fearless team working in full-time ministry to make kingdom impact in the Tri-County area. They have no biological children, although they have 1000’s of spiritual children. It is a compliment if Bishop calls you Son or Daughter.

In addition to his pastoral leadership, Bishop Andre is the founder and overseer of CJ Andre Ministries – known by many as CJAM. This is a ministry that provides covering, counseling, mentoring, spiritual and ecclesiastical oversight to churches, para-ministries, and pastors primarily (but not limited to) in the state of Michigan. Bishop has been coaching & consulting pastors since 2007 after receiving a mantle from the Lord to help bear the burdens of those serving in ministry that were facing tragic and what seemed like hopeless situations. CJAM was organically birthed by the leading of the Holy Spirit during this early season of his ministry.

Bishop Andre became a pastor with very little experience, formal training or bible school. This caused a heavy demand on the leading of the Holy Spirit and receiving wisdom from many Great Men of God who have now received their eternal reward.

During the early years, Bishop Andre (then called Pastor Andre) worked two full-time jobs to support his family and ministry. Additionally, during this time he attended bible school, and then seminary proceeding. In 2010 Bishop graduated from Trinity Seminary earning a Master of Divinity degree with a 3.67 GPA. His major was apologetics and his thesis was entitled “What The Blood Atonement Accomplished”. In December of 2018, the trustees of the seminary conferred upon him the Doctorate of Divinity degree. This is sometimes why you hear him being called Doctor Andre instead of Bishop. Dr. Andre’s dissertation was entitled “What Happened Between The Cross And The Throne”. Both his thesis, dissertation, and 15+ books he has written plans to have published within the next 5 years.

After being ordained in 2004, CJ Andre was then consecrated to the office of Bishop in 2011 by the leadership of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee), one of the world’s largest Pentecostal denominations. Pastor Danielle is also a credentialed holder with the COG, having attained Ordination level. Together, the Andre’s received the laying on of hands consecrating them to the office they serve by the State Administrative Bishop & His Council.

Bishop & PD describe themselves as open books. You will not find a more accessible pastoral team than what you get with the Andre’s. The office door is always open, emails are checked often, letters returned, and phone calls are always reciprocated.
